We at North Pole™ Peonies, LLC grow high quality peonies for the cut flower trade. As of Fall 2012, we had over 6000 plants in the ground and are expanding every year, adding new varieties, and increasing our number of plants in existing varieties.

North Pole™ Peonies, LLC was founded by Ron & Marji Illingworth in 2003. Located just 15 miles outside North Pole, Alaska close to Eielson Air Force Base, we started Lily Vale Farm in 1997. After initially focusing on growing produce for the local farmers market, in 2003 we founded North Pole™ Peonies and started growing peonies and are now selling cut flowers directly to florists, brides, event coordinators, and others.

After a few years of small trials, we shifted our operations from garden vegetables becoming a full peony farm with a number of varieties in full & limited production. Over the next two years, we expect to have several thousand plants in full production, so we can provide our customers with a full color range of high quality peonies from June to August.

 In 2013 we will have a complete range of all peony colors: light pink, bright pink/fuchsia, red, blush, and whites though our whites and reds are still in short supply.
